Consultation

An on-site consultation provides professional guidance on sustainable and ecological approaches to your landscape. We’ll walk through the property together, discuss your goals and concerns, and identify opportunities and considerations for the site.

The consultation may include:

  • Guidance on existing plant care, maintenance, and invasive species management

  • Advice on soil health and regenerative gardening practices

  • Answers to landscape-related questions to help you make informed decisions

  • Assessment and documentation of existing site conditions

  • Preliminary site measurements and inventory

Please note: The consultation is an assessment and advisory session rather than a design session. Detailed planting plans, plant selections, layouts, or other site-specific design solutions require further research and design development and are provided as part of our design service.

Fee: $175 for approximately one hour. An additional $50 travel fee applies outside the GTA. The consultation fee is required to confirm your appointment.

Lighting Design and Installation

Lighting design includes fixture selection, location and cable planning, as well as Smart features that allow you to operate your lighting system remotely and connect to other smart home systems such as Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple Homekit.

Our electrical contractor will ensure the system is installed professionally and efficiently.

Planting Design and Installation

This service includes a full package from design to site preparation, plant sourcing, installation and aftercare.

We source plant materials from reputable wholesale nurseries and growers for clients. And we utilize native plants whenever appropriate to establish a biodiverse and resilient plant community with a contemporary and artistic expression.

Landscape Design with Drawing

This service includes both hardscape and softscape design for partial or full property, in order to create spaces that work for your lifestyle. We also recommend more sustainable materials to our clients.

We prepare concept design drawings that are to scale in order to provide relevant detail for bidding and installation. A colored 2D visualization is included, with 3D rendering as an additional option.

A property topographic survey/site plan (PDF or DWG file) is often required for this service, and can be arranged if the homeowner doesn’t already have one. Small urban/suburban properties are sometimes surveyed ‘in house’.

We only recommend contractors with top notch quality of work for hardscape installation. The client would hire the contractor directly, or choose their own contractor.

Garden coaching

Garden coaching is for homeowners who want to create and care for their own gardens, with expert guidance to support you along the way. We provide tailored advice to help you make confident, informed decisions. Whether you’re starting from scratch or improving an existing space, you’ll gain the knowledge and direction to move forward at your own pace.

Process

Consultation

On-site consultation is booked through an inquiry call.

Design

We develop a concept plan and plant palette for your space, with careful attention to how plants perform, interact, and evolve together over time.

Site Preparation

This may include removing existing turf grass and other vegetation, reshape the garden beds, path installation, etc. to get the site ready for planting.

Plant Sourcing

We source plants from reputable wholesale nurseries and growers, and coordinate delivery.

Planting

We install the plants based on the design vision with final tweaks on site.

Aftercare

Our designer personally manages each newly planted garden through its first two growing seasons upon request to ensure proper establishment.

  • Planting installations typically take place in late spring (late May–June) and early fall (late August–October). Site visits are scheduled from May through October, with the winter months primarily dedicated to design and planning.
